Learn About Our History
In 1898, Edouard Féret wrote this about Château Badette

“It has always been classed at the top of the second
growths of Saint-Emilion. Exceptionally well maintained,
it produce an average of 50 tonneaux of a delicate, soft,
perfumed wine, perfectly preserved.”

Parourir le terroir
Parourir le terroir

“Badette is surrounded on all sides by classed growths.
I want our wine to express its terroir with vigour, but subtlety and elegance too.”

Marc Vandenbogaerde, former owner of Château Badette.

Our Commitments

“What I like is starting from scratch and building new.
If I hadn’t been a wine lover,
I would never have got involved with all this,
My goal is to start from nothing and do the best I can.”

Marc Vandenbogaerde said this about Château Badette in 2012, when he had just acquired it.
He dedicated himself to restoring the estate’s magnificence up to his death in 2020.
Today, his son Arnaud continues the story..

Château Badette displays
a shiny black robe
and a floral nose.
It is a fleshy, fruity wine
with clear-cut flavours,
pleasing length
and a smooth finish.
